Similar to the Mobile Pantry Program, the food bank’s Produce Drop Program distributes 5,000 pounds of fresh produce to communities in need and is distributed on the same day. Often the price of fresh produce, or the distance to grocery stores, limits a community’s access to whole, nutritious foods.
Since January 2015, the Produce Drop Program has given away over 100,000 pounds of fresh, healthy produce to communities with limited food access.
